While I am much more prepared than when they handed me the iPADS and Macbook last April, I also feel somehow unprepared. I realize I tend to always feel this way at the start of school.
A Busy summer and what I have done to prepare for the first month of school using the iPADS:
1) I was a Windows person... 100 % windows.. never touched a Mac until this. Need I say more? I am now Bilingual- I learned to speak Apple during the summer.
2) I SYNCED each iPAD 1 by 1 via Itunes matching the Master #1 iPAD. This was no small feat for me. This entailed arranging the master iPAD with apps in folders as I wanted each student to see, figuring out settings, setting up emails, reading Blogs until I was bloggy. Watching tutorials, going to webinars - talking to strangers. I had to learn what Apps I wanted ( I had to learn how the Apps worked) while deleting those I did not want. Each Ipad was given a unigue Wallpaper & number, creating individual gmail account , installing Drop box and a host of other utility Apps & settings on each iPAD.- the list is long. My hope is to not touch each iPAD now for sometime and let the SYNCING cart do its job.
2) Lesson planning- thinking about how I will integrate iPADS into my SDC program - but & use it as a tool to enhance , invigorate learning...
3) Made this website.
